Organization
Unlike many other Danish castles and manor houses are Gisselfeld not in private hands. Gisselfeld is instead a Foundation.
The Fund's objective
To own, possess, operate and preserve the Gisselfeld related properties, the main building with the surrounding park and the reliant collections of porcelain, earthenware, paintings and other works of art.
To provide financial support to charitable and non-profit purposes. Including cultural, scientific, social and educational purposes.
To provide financial support to socially disadvantaged residents of the Municipality of Haslev.
To provide financial support for brides to be residing in Haslev municipality.
To provide financial support to un-married ladies of rank and an abbess attached to it.
